Thanks to a very generous gift, the library has been able to purchase on video all the films included in the American Film Institute’s 100 Years, 100 American Movies lists. The American Film Institute is a non-profit organization founded in 1967 dedicated to celebrating excellence in the art of film and to educating film-makers and the public about “the power of visual storytelling to share diverse perspectives, inspire empathy and drive culture forward.” In 1997, AFI releas
